Builders from the SMP-596 construction and assembly train team of Ivan Nikolaevich Varshavsky's BAMstroyput construction department, who were laying rails on the eastern side, and the SMP-581 team of Aleksandr Vasilyevich Bondar's Nizhneangarsktransstroy trust, who were laying the track on the western side, during the ceremonial laying of the last, "golden link" of the Baikal-Amur Mainline at the Kuanda station at the junction of the railway track.
